The H.C. Fung Library, located on the Concourse Level of the CGIS Knafel Building, consists of a reading room for general usage and three distinctive area-studies collections in Chinese, Japanese, and Russian and Eurasian studies. These collections support the research and teaching programs of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as the area studies centers with which they are affiliated. The librarians are also available to assist with reference and research needs of a more general nature for the broader CGIS community.

When classes are in session, the library is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, closed on Saturday, and open 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. During the summer and intersession periods, it is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
