Meeting Room Scheduling
The Office of the Registrar has primary scheduling authority over most of the public teaching space, with a few exceptions that are managed by the CGIS Room Scheduler. First priority will be given to courses taught by Government and History faculty and other faculty with offices in CGIS. Please consult the Seminar Room Information Guide for detailed information about controlling authority, room capacity and multimedia capabilities in the CGIS complex.
RoomBook is the required method for all FAS affiliates wishing to reserve meeting space for up to two years from the date of the request. Please also consult our scheduling policies for specific restrictions on using particular spaces. For a floorplan of the CGIS Knafel Fisher Family Commons, click here. For a floorplan of the CGIS South Concourse, click here.
Please note: Due to overwhelming demand for CGIS space during the academic year, requested classes and events must be affiliated with the Government or History Departments, or sponsored by a CGIS Center or faculty member. Exceptions to this policy may be granted if the request occurs two weeks or less before a proposed event date.
Policies for Use
If you bring anything into the room (food, beverages, extra furniture, etc.), you must remove it at the end of your meeting. Please also wipe the chalkboard and tables down as needed. If you move the tables and chairs around to suit your group, please return them to their original positions at the end of your event.
Please note: Food and drink are not permitted in either the Tsai Auditorium (S010) or the Belfer Case Study Room (S020).
